Das Nichts ist indiskutabel: Das Fehlen Gottes in der Kunst der Moderne wird im zehnten Raum nicht weiter beklagt, es ist vielmehr die Voraussetzung für überraschende Bilder, die um eine Gegenwart kreisen. Die das Nichts als unbeschreibbare Fülle denken, und nicht den Nihilismus beziffern. Dazwischen stehen Bilder, die nach dem Ursprung des Seins fragen, nach dem Zusammenhang von Wort, Sprache und Schöpfung wie auch Ritual, Poesie und Gebet.
God in the image?
The nothing is out of the question: The absence of of God in modern art is not further complained about in the tenth room; it is rather the precondition for surprising images revolving around the present—images that conceive the nothing as unutterable abundance and do not quantify nihilism. What is in-between are images asking for the origin of being, the connection of words, language, and creation as well as those between ritual, lyricism, and prayer.
